the shells behind us
these few months of trust
the deeper silence inside
singing just these songs of loss
we will carry on to stay
far away from the rooftop
the roots of the feeling that we hate
you will always fight against the trust I offer you
deep waters replacing waves
in a storm we fight against the walls
against them all who trust in the heal of time
the signs are clear
is this the end
a storm above showing its face
and no direction that is filled with grace
there’s no coast guard
there no chance to recover
you’ll never beat this struggle
if you try to get save
Melding JAWBREAKER and PENNYWISE into a something fresh and honest, DEARLY DIVIDED have delivered one of the most solid outings I have run across in years. Props for the REDEMPTION 87 poster in the vid for "89"... These guys are unquestionably contagious with not a filler in the basket... Superb. Michael F.
Knockout debut from a Buffalo, New York-based hardcore band who like their riffs sick, their drums fast, and their choruses sticky-sweet. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2024
The Minneapolis band add a horn section, a running surrealist allegory about walls, and an occasional nod to the elegiac to their electroshocked post-punk. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 4, 2024
I love it. Have to agree with still bummed: this packs an emotional punch but rocks hard. I've played this whole album repeatedly over the last week which is unusual for me. Exhilarating, poignant, intelligent, melodic. Robin Ward
